Black, Asian and Chinese Egg Donors needed now: Can you help your community?

We’re recruiting egg donors right now – and we especially need Black (African-Caribbean), Asian and Chinese women to come forward and join our egg donor bank.

If you’re from these ethnic groups, you’re in high demand. Not many women in your community donate eggs, but we’re hoping to change that by raising awareness of the need for egg donors across Manchester and Cheshire.

Infertility and all its causes – whether medical or age-related - affects women of all ethnicities. But when it comes to donor egg availability, it is women from ethnic communities who face the longest wait.

We want to be able to help everyone who comes to us for IVF with donor eggs, immediately with no waiting list. And usually, we can. We have Caucasian eggs available right now.

But what we need are more egg donors from Black, Asian and Chinese women, so that women who want their donor to share their ethnicity aren’t delayed having their family.

So could you be there for someone your community? If you’re aged 18-35, in good health and with no serious medical history, you could be an egg donor with us. As we are an official National Gamete Donation Trust Centre of Excellence, you can be assured that all of the women who choose to donate to us are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Altruistic egg donors receive £750 compensation per donation cycle, and you’ll be taken care of every step of the way by our dedicated Donation Team, as well as receiving through counselling about the implications of donating.

If you need IVF yourself, but are willing to also be an egg donor, you can alternatively get a private cycle of IVF with us for £1,000 through our egg-sharing scheme.
